This week on Wesley Impact! TV we talk to Elizabeth Moldovan, a recovering drug addict who turned her life around. Our band director Craig Gower and Deb Ezzy-Walton, perform the song ‘Jesus You Gave It All’.
We look at the new program ‘Wesley Take Charge of your Life’ which seeks to help young people make the transition from living in foster care to living as an independent adult.
Special guest: Elizabeth Moldovan
Rev Keith Garner talks with Elizabeth Moldovan, a recovering drug addict who kept her addiction hidden for over 20 years.
While raising five children, Elizabeth was taking heroin. To everyone else they looked like your normal every day family, but behind closed doors there was a very dark secret.
Since then Elizabeth has found strength in God through prayer and has also released a book called ‘The Prodigal Daughter’. This gives an insight into the life of a non- stereotypical drug user.
Guest performer: Craig Gower and Deb Ezzy-Walton
We welcome Craig Gower and Deb Ezzy-Walton from the Wesley Impact band to inspire us with ‘Jesus You Gave It All’.
Keith’s message: Resist the temptation
Rev Keith Garner explores the parable of two people who went to pray at the temple, both with very different attitudes. One is a tax collector and the other is a Pharisee. We are encouraged to resist the temptation of making the Pharisee a chump and the Tax Collector a hero. It would undermine the surprise of God’s grace found in this parable.
