Wesley Impact! TV: Re-energising Relationships

In this week’s episode of Wesley Impact! TV, Rev Keith Garner continues his series in the post-resurrection appearances of Jesus. He reminds us of how when we choose to follow Jesus, this transforms our whole lives.

You’ll also hear from Robyn Morris, who runs a women’s ministry called ‘Teapot Ministries’. Teapot Ministries brings women together to share the interests and gifts that God has given them through weekend retreats, regular events and a weekly mailing list. Robyn is married with four children and nine grandchildren.

Plus, we’re joined by singer Leah Brett as she delivers a soulful rendition of India Arie’s beautiful song “Hour of Love”.

Interview: Robyn Morris

In today’s fast-paced world it can be hard to find real connection. How can we ensure that we are building deep relationships with others – relationships that energise and bless those around us?

That’s the question Rev Keith Garner and Robyn Morris will be exploring in this week’s episode of Wesley Impact! TV as they discuss Robyn’s initiative ‘Teapot Ministries’.

Teapot Ministries brings women together to share the interests and gifts that God has given them through weekend retreats, regular events and a weekly mailing list. Robyn is the coordinator of the group – and she’s also married with four children and nine grandchildren.

“I just felt God say, these women need to be loved and cared for. How are you going to do it? And God put it on my heart to reach out to just your average woman and to give her some time and space to be loved,” said Robyn.

Guest performance: Leah Brett

Leah Brett grew up in a musical home, joined her church music team at 9, and started performing professionally from 14. In today’s episode, she sings “Hour of Love”, a soulful song by R&B singer-songwriter India Arie.

Keith’s message: Jesus says ‘Follow Me’

Rev Keith Garner opens our eyes to the special moments that took place after Jesus rose from the dead, looking at chapter 21 of John’s gospel.

Rev Garner explains that the disciples are despondent following the death of Jesus. They can’t even catch any fish!

But when Jesus shows up, he gives them a full boat of fish. And most importantly, he reinstates Peter and reaffirms that he wants his disciples to follow him. It’s an invitation for all of us.
