The recent release of the Australian Bureau of Statistics 2016 Census data paints a new picture of homelessness. We now have a more realistic perspective on the numbers and profiles of those experiencing homelessness, as well as better insight into the pathways that have led people to this position.
Being at the forefront of new research on homelessness is at the heart of what we do at Wesley Mission. By understanding the ever-changing demographic of homelessness we can continue to target our approach and truly help those who need it the most.
