Please help us keep minds well
At some point, 77% of people in our community will experience, or know someone who is experiencing, a mental illness.
It might be your child, your husband or wife, your close friend … or it might even be you. Wesley Mission needs your help so we can give people every chance to keep their minds well.
It takes roughly 10 minutes to make a pot of tea. Tragically, in that time, someone, somewhere in Australia, will attempt suicide.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
Make no mistake, through early diagnosis and regular treatment, mental illness can, in many cases, be prevented or successfully managed.
Our latest research report, Keeping Minds Well: Mental health is everybody’s business, lists a number of well-known stress factors that can both trigger mental illness and contribute to prolonging it.
Wesley Mission offers hope to those with mental health problems or those at risk through a range of counselling, social and medical services that address the causes and symptoms of mental illness.
But our services cannot cope with the increasing demand. For every client we help, another one is turned away due to a lack of resources.
That’s why we urgently need to raise $350,000 - and we can’t do it without your help.
Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. You will be mailed a tax receipt and you may claim income tax deductions for your donation to Wesley Mission.
