Join us in praying that political leaders take courageous action to help Australians harmed by gambling.
A Call: Pray for Gambling Reform on 19 Oct
Gambling has Australia in its devastating grip
Australia loses more to gambling than any other country in the world – by far. $32.2 billion dollars in FY2023-4. 1 in 5 people surveyed in NSW in 2024 said they experienced harm from gambling.
The gambling industry is unjust, targeting people who are vulnerable and aiming to trap them in a cycle of harm. Wesley Mission continues our 200-year history of raising our voice against injustice, advocating for policy change and supporting people who need a hand out of gambling’s grip.
Now, we’re mobilising people of faith to pray for gambling reform on 19 October, the day before GambleAware Week begins in NSW. Together and by God’s grace, we will see change.
