Wesley Mission is seeking a Billing Officer within the Finance team to support our Home Care and Disability Services teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative finance environment where your skills in billing, reconciliation, and client service will help deliver vital services to communities across NSW and beyond.

 

About the role

As a Billing Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely billing across our Home Care, Disability and other service portfolios. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to manage billing cycles, manage debtors, resolve discrepancies, and maintain client satisfaction.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Process fortnightly and monthly billing in line with program guidelines
  • Manage client accounts, statements, and credit notes
  • Reconcile budgets and maintain debtor records, including follow up of outstanding accounts.
  • Respond to client and supplier queries with professionalism and care
  • Collaborate with the Senior Billing Officer and Billing & AR Manager to improve billing processes
  • Support continuous improvement and uphold Wesley Mission’s values in all interactions

 

About you

You’re a proactive and organised professional with a strong understanding of billing and finance administration. You thrive in a team environment and are committed to delivering high-quality service.

Essential criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounts and office administration
  • Tertiary qualification in Business or Finance
  • Strong reconciliation and data analysis skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience with systems such as Peoplesoft or AlayaCare
  • Understanding of NDIS and Home Care programs
  • Background in the Community Services sector
