About the role

In this role, you’ll help shape the future of one of Australia’s most diverse and impactful community services organisations. This role is suited to someone who thrives in a mission-driven organisation, balancing structure and agility while collaborating across multiple teams.

As Business Analyst, you will bridge business needs and technology solutions by identifying challenges, analysing data, and translating insights into actionable requirements to drive strategic outcomes and continuous improvement.

 

Essential criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Finance, or Data Analytics or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in large complex organisations and/or agile fast-growing environments in a Business or Data Analyst role.
  • Proven track record in data and root cause analysis.
  • Strong experience in identifying, analysing, validating, and documenting business requirements and current state business processes, including root cause analysis.
  • Skilled in facilitating and designing future state business processes and solving problems in ambiguous contexts while prioritising tasks and escalating risks as needed.
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking abilities for complex issues, with high proficiency in technical literacy and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence, mediate, and negotiate outcomes in complex situations.
  • Intermediate-Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Visio, and Power BI, with advanced data visualisation skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Current Working with Children Check clearance or willingness to obtain.

 

Desirable criteria

  • Experience in a relevant community service sector.
  • Experience preparing integration specifications and data mapping, ideally for Dayforce implementation.
  • Experience with continuous improvement or business process methodology (Six Sigma, BPM etc).
  • Experience with data cleaning and preparation.
