Wesley Aunties & Uncles is offering a secondment or a short-term contract - from October 2025 until June 2026. 

 

  • 30 hours per week
  • Salary + Salary Packaging + fully maintained Motor Vehicle
  • Location – Ballina office.

We work with the most disadvantaged in our community by providing over 200 services ranging from aged care, homeless services, child and family care, counselling, employment, training and education, and health services. 

 

 

About the program 

Wesley Aunties & Uncles provides wrap-around support to children and young people in out of home care, as well as their birth families and foster carers.  Wesley Dalmar offers adoption, permanent, temporary, and respite care, restoration to birth family, as well as a variety of supports to help children reach their potential.  

 

 

About the role 

Wesley Aunties & Uncles offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to a professional wanting to make a difference in the lives of children in OOHC and SSRC. Wesley Aunties & Uncles is a wraparound support service, and the case manager will be responsible for matching volunteer mentors to children in OOHC and SSRC . This includes recruitment, assessment, training and case management.     

 

 

Essential Criteria  

  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology or equivalent
  • flexibility to work some evenings and occasional weekends
  • current full Driver’s License.
  • ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • experience in working with children and families
  • experience in Out of Home Care
  • experience working with volunteers

 

Wesley Mission provides regular supervision and support for all staff and opportunities for professional development. Salary and conditions of employment are based on the Social Community Home Care and Disability Award with generous salary packaging opportunities.
