About us
Wesley Mission is a high profile, multi-faceted Christian organisation making a real difference in the community. We work with the most disadvantaged in our community by providing over 200 services ranging from aged care, homeless services, child and family care, counselling, employment, training and education, and health services.
Our Vision is “A Spirit-led disciple-making movement: doing all the good we can because every life matters.”
About the role
This exciting position entails supporting children and young people in foster care to achieve their educational potential. You would be working one to one with a small number of students on a weekly basis, in one-hour sessions to improve their literacy and/or numeracy skills. Students may range from Kindergarten to HSC students.
This role would suit someone who is a recently retired teacher, a university student studying to be a teacher, or someone with teaching experience who is looking for flexible additional work with minimal hours. Education Tutors typically work with one to three clients per week during term time, depending on location, availability and experience.
