About us

Wesley Mission is a high profile, multi-faceted Christian organisation making a real difference in the community. About the role

An opportunity exists for an experienced, motivated and teachable person to join our new team delivering emergency accommodation and support services for women and their children leaving violence in South-West Sydney.

This is a culturally identified role to develop and promote cultural connection and support for our clients and staff who may also be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. It’s in a supportive team with leadership that takes culture seriously.

The role ensures that the families we serve receive appropriate and quality services and that, with them, we do all we can to make sure their next moves are forward and free from fear or violence.

This is a demanding but rewarding role, requiring initiative, resilience, collaboration, creativity and genuine compassion. It will involve work from our site as well as in partner organisations and homes of people we support – on traditional Dharug land. It will work closely with health, police, Department of Communities & Justice, schools and other community services and organisations. It will require travel across the districts in which we deliver services.

The role is both site-based and mobile. It will include earlier starts or later finishes, a share of on-call responsibilities, and may include occasional require availability on weekends and public holidays.
