Lead a small, well established OOSH service with the support of a values driven not for profit organisation that genuinely invests in its people.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced OOSH professional ready to take ownership of a service while being well supported.

About the role

As the Centre Coordinator, you will lead the day-to-day operation of the service, support and guide a small, close-knit team of Educators, and act as the Nominated Supervisor.
This role suits an experienced OOSH professional who enjoys hands on leadership, values strong relationships, and is confident managing both programming and compliance within a supportive organisational structure. You will have the autonomy to lead your service while being backed by an experienced Area Manager and a wider organisational network.
You will be responsible for programming, staffing, compliance, family communication, and building positive partnerships with the school community.
Our Merrylands service is licensed for 32 children and operates from a dedicated space within Merrylands Public School.

 

What we are looking for

We are seeking a confident and capable leader who is passionate about working with school aged children and supporting Educators to thrive. You will bring energy, professionalism, and a calm, organised approach to managing a service. You enjoy working collaboratively with families, schools, and colleagues, and understand the importance of creating a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Early Childhood Education and Care qualification or equivalent
    • Sound working knowledge of the National Quality Framework and My Time, Our Place
    • Minimum one year experience working in a children’s service
    • Demonstrated experience coordinating or leading a team
    • Ability to plan, implement, and review high quality programs
    • First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
    • Knowledge of workplace health and safety
    • Current Working with Children Check
    • Completion of approved Child Protection Training
    • Current driver’s licence
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
    • Well developed written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and QikKids
    • Willingness to work split shifts as required
