We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Billing Officer to join our Corporate Accounting team. This is a pivotal role supporting our Home Care, Disability, and other business units with high-quality billing and financial administration.

 

About the Role

As the Senior Billing Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end billing operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across multiple service areas. You will play a key role in managing billing workflows, supporting a small team, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and improve processes.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong eye for detail, and is passionate about delivering excellent service to clients and colleagues alike.

 

About You

You are a confident and capable finance professional with a passion for service excellence and team collaboration. You bring a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage billing processes for Home Care, Disability, and other business units.
  • Monitor and reconcile client accounts and budgets.
  • Oversee workflow and task prioritisation for Billing Officers and Data Specialists.
  • Resolve client billing queries and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide insights and reporting to support continuous improvement in billing operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data integrity and compliance with NDIS and Home Care guidelines.
  • Support the Billing and AR Manager in setting KPIs and coaching team members.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in accounts and office administration.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Proven experience in account reconciliation and billing processes.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office Suite skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with NDIS or Home Care billing frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support a small team.

 

Desirable

  • Experience with systems such as PeopleSoft or Carelink.
  • Background in the community services sector.
