About the role
In this role, you’ll help shape the future of one of Australia’s most diverse and impactful community services organisations. This role is suited to someone who thrives in a mission-driven organisation, balancing structure and agility while collaborating across multiple teams.
As Senior Project Manager you’ll take the lead on delivering complex, cross-organizational programs and projects. You’ll provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and support to ensure every initiative is delivered on time, within scope and budget, and to the highest standards. From initial scoping to final delivery, you’ll be the driving force behind stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and change management—making a tangible difference across Wesley Mission.
Essential criteria
10+ years of demonstrated experience in delivering both business and IT projects, managing multiple complex cross company projects, especially using Agile methodologies.
Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Computer or Finance or equivalent experience.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2 and Agile).
Advanced problem-solving skills in ambiguous situations, with the ability to prioritize, escalate issues, and manage risks effectively.
Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and influencing skills, with a track record of working across virtual and diverse teams, preferably in a not for profit or community services organisation.
Excellent communication skills, including active listening, public speaking, and high emotional intelligence for mediation and negotiation in complex situations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), with experience using Visio, Power BI, and MS Project and intermediate Data visualisation skills.
Experience with supporting or leading organisational change management.
Current Working with Children Check clearance or willingness to obtain.
