Senior Social Hub – Centre based respite Program

  • casual (15-20 hours/week)
  • based in Tuggerah Business Park
  • Supporting local seniors in our community day centre program

About the program

We are a centre-based program in Tuggerah for seniors over the age of 65.

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who has a passion for helping the elderly and loves talking to people and serving the community.

You will be responsible for running day activities in the hub, rostered kitchen duties, consumer personal care assistance and sometimes driving a small bus for consumer transport pick ups.

 

Essential criteria

  • tertiary qualifications in aged care or community services
  • previous experience working in aged care or community is preferred
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • strong computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • current NSW driver licence
  • current Working with Children Check clearance or willingness to obtain

 

Desirable criteria

  • knowledge of/familiar with challenging behaviours
  • current First Aid Certificate

 

Remuneration

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS award for Community services Level 2 PPT 2.
