Grief after suicide is unlike any other. But when we come together to remember loved ones lost to suicide, we can find strength in one another.

 

If you or someone you know has been impacted by the loss of a loved one to suicide, we invite you to join our Wesley LifeForce Sydney Memorial, a free community event.

 

Whether you attend on your own, with family or friends, the service is open to anyone bereaved by suicide, regardless of when the loss occurred. You are welcome to participate in whatever way feels right for you, with no expectation to speak or share your story.

 

What to expect at our Suicide Memorial Service 

 

Together, we'll create a space to honour loved ones, share in remembrance and find comfort in community. Because no one should carry this grief alone.

 

• Music and reflection

  Reflect through music, hear stories of lived experience and be encouraged by a message of hope.  

• A tribute to your loved one

  Bring a photo of your loved one and write a personal tribute to them to share on our memorial wall.  

• A moment of remembrance

  Lay a sunflower at the foot of our memorial wall in honour of your loved one. 

• Support when you need it

  Counsellors will be present at the memorial service to offer support if you need it.
