Our Suicide Prevention for Supporting Young People equips participants with essential skills to recognise and respond to a young person experiencing mental health distress who may be at risk of suicide.
Around 9 lives are lost by suicide every day in Australia. One in two young people are impacted by suicide by the time they turn 25.
This workshop will increase participant's confidence in their ability to:
identify signs that a young person in distress may be at risk of suicide
offer support, resources and a safe space for open discussion
ask if the young person is considering suicide
encourage help seeking behaviour."
