Why should I include a gift to Wesley Mission?
For over two centuries, Wesley Mission has stood alongside people and communities through seasons of hardship, hope, renewal and change.

When you choose to leave a gift to Wesley Mission, you’re joining a long tradition of people walking with Australians in need, driven by the belief that every person matters. Your gift is a powerful expression of hope for the future.
What types of gifts can be left in a Will?
Here are three common ways supporters choose to leave a gift to us in their Will:

Residuary gift – this is the most effective way to leave a gift in your Will to Wesley Mission. This is the remainder of your estate after taking care of family and friends. It’s an effective way to make a lasting impact as it adjusts for inflation, maintaining its value over time.

Percentage gift – this involves leaving a nominated portion or fixed percentage of your estate to Wesley Mission. Like residuary gifts, percentage gifts go up and down with the value of your estate.

Pecuniary gift – This is a specific amount of money or an asset such as a property, shares, or other assets that Wesley Mission can use to support our work in the future.
Do I need to tell you if I’ve included Wesley Mission in my Will?
This is entirely up to you. We’d appreciate it and are very keen to show our gratitude to you and keep you informed about our work.
Will the lawyer tell you if I’ve made a gift?
No. All your information is held in the strictest confidence.

Your lawyer works for you and will not disclose your instructions about your estate if you do not give permission. Other information provided during the booking process is protected by our privacy policy
What do I do if I need further estate work?
Additional changes or ongoing legal matters are not included in your Wesley Wills Day booking. You may incur additional fees at the solicitor’s discretion if you follow up with them after the Wesley Wills day.
What kind of Wills do Wesley Wills Day offer?
Our service is designed for simple Wills.

If your needs are more complex (such as having trusts, blended families, investment or overseas property), the solicitor may recommend a more detailed Will and provide a quote. If you choose not to proceed, your fee can be refunded or converted to a tax-deductible gift to Wesley Mission.

You also have the option of having Power of Attorney documents written at the same time. These are highly recommended and can be prepared at a discounted rate of $330 per person and is payable directly to the solicitor when finalising your documents.
