Helping those in times of need so no one has to struggle alone.

When the bills keep coming and you’re struggling financially, it can feel like there's nowhere to turn.

Wesley Emergency Relief offers short-term, practical help for individuals and families across New South Wales who are doing it tough. With emergency relief, you can cover the essentials and take a breath.

Help is free, and you don't have to face this alone.

What is emergency relief?

Emergency relief is immediate, practical support for people facing financial hardship. It can include food vouchers and utility bill assistance, along with help to buy other essential items.

It's there to steady you through a hard moment, and to help you avoid the next one. Emergency relief aims to prevent future financial crises, not just ease the one in front of you. That's why we can also connect you with free financial counselling through our wider financial wellbeing services.

Emergency relief typically comes from local emergency services, governments, non-government organisations (NGOs) and community groups. As a not-for-profit NGO, Wesley Mission delivers emergency relief in partnership with community organisations right across New South Wales.
