Wesley Dalmar is a leading out-of-home care agency in NSW. We have a long-standing and proud history of caring for children, young people, and their families since 1893.

 

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Case Manager to join our Out-of-Home Care team based in Bella Vista. You will support children, young people, families, and foster carers, out-of-home and strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for the children and young people on your caseload. The case manager works within the framework of the Department of Communities and Justice, Permanency Support Program. Your Caseload would include working towards Restoration, Guardianship, Adoption and Long-Term Care.

 

This is a child-related role, and the Case Manager engages with children between 0 and 18 years of age.

 

Essential criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology or Social Welfare
  • Experience in casework practice in out-of-home care
  • Knowledge skills and experience working with children and families
  • Demonstrated ability to write reports to a professional standard
  • Ability to liaise, network and maintain solid working relationships with community groups and government departments
  • Excellent administrative and time management skills
  • Experience in managing electronic files and databases.
  • Current unrestricted NSW driver's license
  • Current Working with Children Check clearance or willingness to obtain.

 

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of therapeutic care frameworks
  • Knowledge and experience in the Permanency Support Program.
  • Experience working with children and families and/or in the OOHC field.
  • Knowledge of the children’s court system and required court documentation.

 

Remuneration

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 5.1, with capacity for salary packaging and the provision of a fully maintained motor vehicle available for private use. Superannuation is paid in addition at 11.5%.
