This is a fast-paced, service delivery role where you will be responsible for connecting volunteers with older people—and making those connections succeed.

You’ll be out in the community, building networks, identifying opportunities, and delivering real outcomes that reduce social isolation for older people. If you enjoy working independently, as well as in a team, managing multiple priorities, and making things happen, this role is for you.

About the program

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) connects older people experiencing social isolation with volunteer visitors. Through regular visits, the program builds meaningful relationships that improve wellbeing and connection to community.

 

About the role

In this role, you will have responsibility and set KPI’s of growing and sustaining a local volunteer visitor program.

You will:

  • Recruit and onboard volunteers efficiently and effectively
  • Match volunteers with older people and ensure strong, ongoing connections
  • Build and maintain relationships with aged care providers and community partners
  • Actively grow referral pathways and identify new opportunities
  • Deliver on program targets, including increasing active volunteer-to-client matches

Success in this role is measured by your ability to meet targets, build networks, create successful matches, and maintain strong engagement across your region.

 

What we’re looking for

Selection Criteria

  • Proven ability to recruit, engage and match volunteers in a fast-paced or outcome-driven environment and meet set KPI’s.
  • Strong influencing and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders
  • Understanding of ageing and social isolation, and how community connection improves wellbeing
  • Drive, organisation and ability to deliver results, managing competing priorities independently
  • Ability to balance compliance requirements with practical, outcomes-focused service delivery, including working inclusively with diverse communities

Requirements

  • Current NSW Driver Licence
  • Willingness to travel across the Central Coast
  • Ability to complete required checks (National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check)
