Wesley LifeForce Suicide Memorial Service Darwin
Losing a loved one to suicide is a sorrow unlike any other, but you are not alone.
Wesley LifeForce Suicide Memorial Services are held annually for the families, friends and communities bereaved by suicide to come together in a spirit of comfort and hope. Accordingly, this will be the third memorial service hosted in Darwin, and we warmly invite you all to attend.
Date: Thursday, 5 September 2019
Time: 5-6 pm
Location: Royal Flying Doctor Service Tourist Facility, Stokes Hill Wharf, 45 Stokes Hill Road
The service will include a moment of silence and reflection, a message from the CEO of Wesley Mission, the Rev Keith V Garner AM, and a flower ceremony. There will also be an opportunity for participants to place messages remembering the lives of those lost to suicide on a memorial wall.
If you are unable to attend, you can post a message on the online memorial wall.
Free parking is available at the entrance of the wharf (on Stokes Hill Road) from 4 pm. A free Waterfront Shuttle to the wharf operates from 4 pm to 9 pm, and picks up/drops off at Indo Pacific Marine. Limited parking is also available on the wharf, but please note that a 3 hour parking limit applies. A map and free shuttle bus fact sheet is available for download on the Darwin Waterfront website https://www.waterfront.nt.gov.au/darwin-waterfront-precinct/parking/
