This one-hour seminar is designed to equip aged care workers with essential skills to support older people who may be experiencing distress or at risk of suicide.
Early effective support can make a real difference and save lives. These conversations offer support and a safe space for open discussions while encouraging help seeking.
Key learning outcomes:
• Build awareness of residents who may be at risk of suicide
• Recognise the potential signs of suicide risk
• Develop skills to record and report concerns
• Learn how to support residents to access the help they need
This session runs from 11.00 am to 12.00 pm AEST (Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne time).
