About the program
Wesley KickStart Program is an innovative accommodation program supporting young people transitioning from Foster Care. As the Lead Tenant you will live in the house with up to 5 young people, ensuring the share house runs smoothly and being available for support when needed.
The KickStart house is supported by Wesley’s Take Charge of Your Life team who support the young people with sourcing employment opportunities, developing living skills and general support as required.
About the role
We are currently seeking a pool of casual staff who will provide respite for the permanent carers of up to 5 young people living in the Kick Start program.
The successful candidate will be part of a team that will be on a largely weekend rotating roster. Hours of work are flexible. This role would suit a candidate with additional study/work commitments.
Essential skills/knowledge
• Minimum Cert IV in youth work or similar field
• Flexible working hours including shift work, weekends and sleep overs
• Current unrestricted drivers licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current Working With Children’s Check
Desirable Criteria:
• Experience in Out of Home Care
• Previous employment with children and families
• Ability to work as a part of a team and independently
Remuneration
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 3 + loading.
