Informed by the latest research in suicide prevention, Wesley LifeForce is presenting a 1-hour seminar on Suicide Prevention for Aged Care Workers to equip participants with essential skills training to recognise and respond to an older person who may be experiencing mental health distress and who may be at risk of suicide.
This workshop is open to all aged care workers and is free to attend.
The outcomes:
⦁ Safe use of language when talking about suicide
⦁ Build awareness of residents who may be at risk of suicide
⦁ Recognising the potential signs
⦁ Risk factors and protective factors
⦁ Develop skills in notifying and recording your concerns
⦁ Engaging in self-care practice.
Session runs from 11.00 am to 12.00 pm AWST (Perth time)
