Welcome to Wesley Suicide Prevention Services

Wesley Mission has been a leader in the suicide prevention field for many years, establishing the Lifeline movement and Wesley LifeForce.

Wesley Suicide Prevention Services

Former Superintendent/CEO of Wesley Mission the Rev Dr Sir Alan Walker’s vision was to give Australians in crisis and at risk of suicide a lifeline at their most desperate moment, resulting in the founding of Lifeline in 1963 by Wesley Mission. Today we continue to operate Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland.

Wesley LifeForce was established in 1995 by Rev Bob Dunlop, a former Minister of Wesley Mission, in response to the growing number of youth suicides in Australia.

Wesley Suicide Prevention Services takes a comprehensive approach to tackling suicide by working in the areas of prevention, intervention and postvention.
