Aud and her homegrown succulents

Aud is in her seventies. Once a month she packs a backpack with homegrown succulents and plants. She then takes a bus and a train to Wesley Centre, in Sydney’s CBD, all while carrying her heavy backpack to sell her plants at Wesley Monthly Stalls.

While the task may be strenuous, Aud is committed. Why? Because she’s passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable Australians. The money raised through the sales of her plants goes towards support people experiencing homelessness.

“I want to do something useful with my time, too,” explains Aud. “It’s very rewarding to volunteer.”

This year, Aud will be selling her succulents and plants at our annual Wesley Fair on Thursday 9 November. All funds raised through Aud’s plants will go towards the refurbishment of our vital inner-city accommodation service for men and women experiencing homelessness.

Join us at the Annual Wesley Fair and ‘Shop for a good cause’ as we raise much needed funds for the total refurbishment of the Wesley Edward Eagar Centre.
