Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland ISS Team wins award

Congratulations to the Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland In-shift Supervisor Team (ISS) who received an award at the NSW 2019 Volunteer of the Year Awards.

On 31 October, Minister for Families, Communities and Disability Services The Hon. Gareth Ward recognised their hard work and selfless dedication by presenting our ISS Team with the Excellence in Volunteer Management Award at Parliament House.

Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland Centre Manager Edward Perez, Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland Counsellor Di Saunders and Wesley LifeForce Community Engagement Coordinator Meryl Klimczak accepted the award on behalf of the team.

Our ISS Team play a vital role in providing extra support to our 200 plus telephone crisis support volunteers through debriefing and mentoring. The ongoing dedication of our ISS Team ensures we can continue to reach more than 38,000 people every year who contact Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland.

The ISS Team represented more than 128,000 volunteers across NSW who were nominated for awards at the NSW 2019 Volunteer of the Year Awards.
