Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organisation and we recognise that without them the crucial work of building better lives for vulnerable people wouldn’t be possible.
During this pandemic, we have made some changes to some of our volunteer roles to make sure everyone is safe and we are following Government guidelines. COVID-19 has also presented some new volunteer opportunities that can make a real difference to those we serve, and to those in need, within our community.

Companionship
The need to keep people connected whilst isolated is greater than ever. We’re looking for volunteers who can connect with our clients and residents through regular phone calls, video chats and even an old-fashioned letter. We will match you and a recipient with similar interests or background as a starting point for building an ongoing connection.

Arts & Crafts
In an effort to keep up with our clients and residents creativity we are looking for helpful donations of:
- Craft paper
- Colouring in books
- Colouring in pencils/pens/crayons
- Find-a-word
- Crosswords
- Magazines + books
- DVDs
- Wool
- Fabrics + Materials

Food & Care
Wesley Mission is committed to continuing to provide help for those most in need, and this includes providing much needed non-perishable food and hygiene items including:
- Pasta & pasta sauce

- 2-minute noodles

- Sandwich spreads
- Cereal
- Savoury snacks
- Sanitary pads
- Soap
- Body wash
