The decision to break free from an oppressive or destructive life is not always an easy one and the path to freedom can be fraught with pain and obstacles. Two people, Visda and Piya, have had remarkable turnarounds after encountering and trusting God. Each had plans: one for a better life in a new country; the other for a life of wealth accrued at the expense of other. When their plans went wrong, they found strength and courage through the love of God and faith in Jesus. It’s the same love and faith that prompted Elisa to start a playgroup for isolated families in the centre of Sydney’s CBD.
