Summer 2009: Bullying ... how does it really feel?

1 January 2009 Wesley Impact! news

Most people can remember being bullied at some time in their life. No one remembers enjoying it. In the Australian school playground today, bullying is rife and for some children, like Nicholas, it is an everyday experience. Are there any easy ways for Nicholas to handle the constant barrage of attacks? Is it true that names will never hurt us? For other children, the abuse is physical. In Perlivia's case, this was at the hands of her father when she was a young child. The resilience and grace the now 20 year old Perlivia shows is remarkable as she draws on her own experience to enrich the lives of others.
