A new awakening
This week on Wesley Impact! TV we hear Jo Raymond's remarkable story and the Rev Dr Keith Garner explores John's Gospel.
On Wesley Impact! TV today we meet a woman whose life was turned around through a simple though powerful illness: the winter flu. In her book, Awakening, Jo Raymond shares the fascinating story of how this illness went to life threatening in a matter of days and how, though harrowing at the time, she feels this was one of the best things that could have happened to her. Facing death made Jo appreciate what she had in life and taught her much about God, faith, restoration and the overwhelming love her family and friends have for her.
Wesley Mission story—Wesley Family Centre
Wesley Mission is passionate about building strong and resilient families. On the show this week we look at how Wesley Family Centre Westlakes is working closely with mothers to provide them with support, advice and practical programs to build their parenting skills. We hear from one young mum who tells us how she has regained her confidence as a parent and just how much she benefits from the weekly interaction with other mothers.
In the lead up to Easter the Rev Dr Keith Garner explores another Lenten theme in this week's sermon, looking at how Jesus brings healing to a man born blind.
We welcome Liz Cole to the Wesley Impact! TV stage this week. Liz's remarkable gift for music is well beyond her young years, combining musical talent with poetic lyrics. We also hear from Australian band Sons of Korah, who are devoted to giving a fresh voice to the biblical psalms. With their unique acoustic, multi-ethnic sound, Sons of Korah have given this biblical songbook a dynamic and emotive new musical expression.
