Best of 2012: Mission Aviation Fellowship

3 March 2013 Wesley Impact! TV

This week on Wesley Impact! TV we hear Bill Harding's moving story and the Rev Dr Keith Garner explores Mark's Gospel.

Bill’s story
Bill left a career as a lawyer to take to the skies, flying planes for Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF). MAF is an organisation committed to sharing God’s love and goodness with people in countries ravaged by natural disasters, political unrest and war. He is now CEO of MAF and organises teams to bring much needed relief to people all around the world, particularly those affected by a crisis.

Wesley Mission story—Wesley Respite
In 2003 Vicki’s life was turned upside down when her husband, Peter, suffered a stroke. She was left having to care for him full-time as well as run the home. Vicki realised she needed help and turned to Wesley Respite. Vicki is now able to get the breaks she so desperately needs knowing that Peter is in good hands.

Keith's reflection
The Rev Dr Keith Garner leads this week’s sermon on Jesus reaching out and meeting the needs of people as depicted in Mark’s Gospel. Jesus Christ cared for all people, no matter what their background or social standing, and he was never too busy to help them.

Guest performers
We welcome Liz Cole and Daniel Kay to the show this week. Liz's remarkable gift for music is well beyond her young years, combining musical talent with poetic lyrics. Daniel is an award winning freelance artist and educator and a seasoned performer with a stunning tenor voice.
