Called back from the edge
This week on Wesley Impact! TV we hear Berni Dymet's amazing story and the Rev Dr Keith Garner explores Matthew 13.
There was a time when Berni Dymet was a hard nosed business man who would not let anyone get in his way as he clawed his way to the top. He thought that money and material possessions would make him happy and Berni was a picture of wealth and success. But it covered the desperation he felt inside. In 1995 Berni found himself on an eighth floor balcony contemplating taking his life. After picking up a Gideons Bible he prayed a desperate prayer and felt that God called him away from the edge. Berni dedicated his life to Christ and from then on was a changed man. He is now the CEO of Christianity Works, a media ministry sharing written, audio and video publications through the media across the globe.
Wesley Mission story—Wesley Suicide Prevention Services
Today we hear the heartbreaking story of those left picking up the pieces after a family member or loved one takes their own life. Wesley Suicide Prevention Services is committed to working with individuals and communities to help people become aware of the signs of suicide and how to do all they can to prevent suicide. They also work with those who have been bereaved, helping them in their pain and loss and supporting them in whatever way they can.
The Rev Dr Keith Garner explores Matthew chapter 13, a chapter rich with parables. Here we take a look at a parable often known as the parable of the sower, but may better be described as the parable of the fertile soil.
Today on the show we welcome Tim Moxey. Last year Tim was a contestant on the popular Australian talent contest, The Voice. With his impressive four-octave range and powerful voice, Tim is a highly gifted performer who also now heads up the Sydney Vocal Academy. We also hear from Jordan Worner. Jordan is a young Australian singer/songwriter. He is passionate about leading people into God's presence through music, and has had opportunity to do so all over the world.
