Homeless Persons Week, Part 1
This week on Wesley Impact! TV we hear Jean Madden's story of hope and the Rev Dr Keith Garner explores Luke's Gospel.
Jean Madden was spurred into action and vowed to herself to buy every homeless person in Brisbane a swag for Christmas but soon realised existing products did not ‘meet the mark.’ As a result her company Street Swags was born. Jean shares with Wesley Mission CEO/Superintendent the Rev Dr Keith Garner about her faith and how Street Swags has grown with community support. Many organisations have come on board to help including prisons and schools.
Wesley Mission story—Wesley Edward Eagar Lodge
At Wesley Mission we are driven to honour God and serve people. Greg’s story is an example of how Wesley Mission is helping people at risk of homelessness regain hope in their lives through services like Wesley Edward Eagar Lodge.
The Rev Dr Keith Garner leads this week’s sermon with a reading from the Gospel of Luke.
This week we are joined by performer and Wiradjuri woman from New South Wales, Shauntai Batzke. Shauntai is an inspirational gospel and opera singer, songwriter and developing artist with Short Black Opera Company. Talented singer and worship leader Deborah Ezzy is no stranger to the Wesley Impact! TV stage and it is a great privilege to hear from her today.
