National Youth Week

14 April 2013 Wesley Impact! TV

This week on Wesley Impact! TV we hear David Claydon's moving story and the Rev Dr Keith Garner explores John's Gospel.

David’s story
Now an older man, David Claydon shares with us his experiences as a young orphan child growing up in a foreign land with no family and no certainty. David recalls how one day he heard the Bible story of Jesus Christ and the lost lamb and realised he too felt lost. From then on David decided to entrust his life to God, knowing that God would always be there to guide him.

Wesley Mission story—Wesley Dalmar
We look at how Wesley Mission, one of New South Wales’ largest foster care providers, is helping to give the disadvantaged children of Maitland a supportive and stable home to ensure they can live a happy childhood. Wesley Dalmar oversees more than 200 children through its services and supports over 150 foster carers. We look at Michael’s story through his foster carers and Case Worker, who have all come together as a team to support Michael through some difficult transitions.

Keith's reflection
The Rev Dr Keith Garner leads this week’s sermon with a reading from John.

Guest performers
We welcome Jordan Worner and Stan Walker to the Wesley Impact! TV stage. Jordan is a young Australian singer/songwriter. He is passionate about leading people into God's presence through music, and has had opportunity to do so all over the world. Stan is a remarkable performer who hit the Australian limelight when he won Australian Idol in 2009 and has since gone on to develop an outstanding music career.
