The meaning of Christmas
On the Sunday before Christmas, we speak with the Rev Dr Andrew Williams of the Uniting Church in Australia, Sancha Prowse joins us to sing In the Bleak Mid Winter and the Rev Dr Keith Garner continues his Advent series looking at the Song of Mary.
Gloria's story: Weathering storms
Gloria first came into contact with Wesley Mission through our Financial Counseling Services, and has since found her way back to financial independence, this is her story.
Special guest: Rev Dr Andrew Williams
We’re joined by the General Secretary of the Uniting Church in Australia, Synod of NSW and the ACT, Rev Dr Andrew Williams to discuss the significance of Christmas and how the Christian message can be relevant to us all.
Guest performer: Sancha Prowse
With Christmas less than a week away, we’re joined by Sancha Prowse who is singing the reflective Christmas hymn, In the Bleak Mid Winter.
Keith’s message: The song of Mary
The words in Luke 1 are amongst the most beautiful words ever spoken. The Song of Mary does not contain in itself any reference to the birth of Christ, but it makes a huge connection between his coming and its impact upon the world. For me, it defines so much of what we try to do at Wesley Mission – link to the Beatitudes of Jesus.
