Wesley Impact! TV: A full life in every way

10 March 2019 Wesley Impact! TV

In this week's episode of Wesley Impact! TV, Rev Keith Garner explores the story of Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness, and offers hope and encouragement to anyone struggling to trust God in their own lives.

Rev Keith Garner speaks to John McFarlane, the Residents' Committee Chair at Wesley Alan Walker Village. And we’re also joined by Margaret Foster, a resident at Alan Walker Village in Sydney. Margaret gives a unique insight into what a typical week looks like as part of this wonderful aged care community.

Plus, we’re joined once again by singer Ryan Day and the Wesley Impact! TV band to perform ‘I Am Not Forsaken’.

What is life really like for residents of aged care facilities?

That’s the question Margaret Foster, resident at Alan Walker Village in Sydney, answers in this week’s episode of Wesley Impact! TV.

With a thriving community in the village, family nearby, and easy transport options to local shopping areas, Margaret says there’s no end of opportunities to live a full and happy life at Alan Walker.

“A typical week for me at Alan Walker is generally a mixed bag because I will spend some time here at the Village doing the various activities. I belong to the book club … there are a lot of outings and a lot of card games, social evenings, film groups, and gentle exercise classes. I'm joining a Zumba group next month. I'm looking forward to that.”

Interview: John McFarlane

Guest performer: Ryan Day

We’re excited to have Ryan Day join us once again to sing ‘I Am Not Forsaken’ with support from the Wesley Impact! TV band. Ryan is a singer, songwriter and worship leader at his local church in the south of Sydney.

Keith's message: Resisting temptation

Rev Keith Garner returns to the book of Luke, and in particular, the story of the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness.

Rev Garner says this moment in Jesus’ life—and how he dealt with temptation—should bring great hope to those struggling to trust God in their own lives.

“Wherever you are today, whatever the issues are for you in your life, Jesus is offering a way for you to be able to resist temptation, and move forward with confident faith.”
