Interview: Rev Jonathan Chen

Why is it important for people to hear the gospel in their own language?

That’s the question Rev Keith Garner and Rev Jonathan Chen will be exploring in today’s episode of Wesley Impact! TV. Rev Chen is the new minister for the Wesley Mission Chinese Congregation.

They also discuss what led Rev Chen to the congregation, and his goals for the church going forwards.

“The call is in your heart, but it grows more and more. So in essence, the call at the very beginning is God's love. I feel the love and care, that's the first thing I can feel,” Rev Chen says of his call to ministry. Watch for more encouraging insights!

Guest Performance: Jordan Worner and Elizabeth Rae – Jesus, Strong and Kind

Keith's Message: Jesus the Healer

Rev Keith Garner opens our eyes to the importance of taking the gospel even to the most vulnerable and isolated people in our community as he opens the Bible to Matthew 9 and 10.

Rev Garner explains that as Jesus sent out the disciples, he sent them not to the powerful, but to the lost sheep of Israel, and as they went they were to heal, drive out demons and raise the dead.

It’s a great reminder to us that we too are called to share the compassionate love of God and invite others to join his kingdom.
