Wesley Impact! TV: The gospel to all the world
In this week's episode of Wesley Impact! TV, Rev Keith Garner highlights from John 21 that the huge harvest of fish the disciples catch draws our attention to just how important it is for us to continue relying on Jesus for the small things – from catching fish – to the big, like taking the gospel to others.
You’ll also hear from Hilton Edwards from Bible League as he explains how we can help get the gospel to all nations by providing Bibles.
Plus, we’re joined by singer Elizabeth Rae as she delivers a beautiful performance of ‘Always’.
Interview: Hilton Edwards
Billions of people around the world follow Jesus, but in some places it’s impossible to hear the gospel. How can we make sure everyone has the chance to put their faith in Jesus?
That’s the question Rev Keith Garner and Hilton Edwards will be exploring in this week’s episode of Wesley Impact! TV as they discuss Bible League, where Hilton works.
Bible League places Bibles in 50 countries around the world, providing bibles and training to people who both can’t afford them, or are limited in their access, such as in closed Muslim countries.
“I think we're really blessed here in Australia. We've got a fairly well-resourced church, but a lot of other countries around the world, particularly in the poorer nations where people are living maybe on $1.25 or less a day, they are under resourced. And for them to be able to afford a Bible is very, very difficult,” Hilton explains.
Listen in and find out how you can help people gain access to the gospel.
Guest Performance: Elizabeth Rae — Always
Elizabeth Rae wrote her first song when she was just eleven years old, and began performing professionally two years later. In today’s episode, she sings ‘Always’.
Keith's Message: Catching Fish
Rev Keith Garner opens God’s Word to look at John 21 – the story of Jesus and the Miraculous Catch of Fish.
Rev Garner highlights that the huge harvest of fish the disciples catch draws our attention to just how important it is for us to continue relying on Jesus for the small things – from catching fish – to the big, like taking the gospel to others.
As Rev Garner explains, “[The disciples] begin to see what can actually happen when they really take hold of this mission, of this message and this passion.”
