Wesley LifeForce Half Day Suicide Prevention Workshop, Online event

This practical workshop builds the knowledge, skills and confidence to support someone who may be experiencing distress or suicidal thoughts. Participants will explore evidence-informed approaches that encourage safe conversations, timely support and help seeking.

 

Key learning outcomes:

• Use safe, supportive language

• Ask directly and sensitively about suicide

• Apply active listening strategies

• Support safety planning and self-care

• Understand risk and protective factors

• Connect someone with appropriate support services

 

The workshop will be divided into two sessions:

Session 1 - 10.00 am - 12.00 pm (AEDT)

Session 2 - 12.30 pm - 2.30 pm (AEDT )
