Details

This workshop is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to support someone who may be experiencing distress or suicidal thoughts.
 
Early effective support can make a real difference and save lives. These conversations offer support and a safe space for open discussions while encouraging help seeking.
 
Key learning outcomes:
• How to use safe, supportive language
• How to ask about suicide
• Active listening strategies
• Safety planning and self-care
• Risk and protective factors
• How to connect someone with support services
 
Session 1: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (AEDT)
Session 2: 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM (AEDT)
 
Attendees must attend BOTH sessions with a working camera.
