How will you celebrate #GivingTuesday?

23 November 2017 Wesley Mission news

Giving Tuesday

Tuesday 28 November is #GivingTuesday, a global movement to celebrate and provide incentives to give. This effort harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners—charities, families, businesses and individuals—to transform how people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season.

Largely through social media, #GivingTuesday exists to inspire us to take collaborative action to improve our local communities and to give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes that help create a better world.

Three easy ways to get involved this #GivingTuesday:

1. Give a gift that matters this Christmas

Visit the Wesley Gift Shop and choose from a range of online charity gifts—such as a food hamper or small gifts for a family in crisis this Christmas. We’ll send an e-card on your behalf or you can also print the card to give in person.

2. Donate to our Christmas Appeal

No child should have to live in a tin shed at Christmas. Sadly this was the case for a family who were helped by Wesley Mission. A donation of $49 can provide food and essential groceries for a family in crisis today.

3. Volunteer your time with Christmas Gift Wrapping

Volunteer time at our Christmas gift wrapping stations at Kinokuniya and World Square from November 30-24 December. Join all of the festive fun and help raise vital funds for Wesley Homeless Services. For more information email [email protected].
