Best of 2012: Calming the storm

27 January 2013 Wesley Impact! TV

This week on Wesley Impact! TV we hear Richard Osborne's moving story and the Rev Dr Keith Garner explores Luke's Gospel.

Richard’s story
Richard Osborne had a distressing childhood and went on to struggle with stress, anxiety, low self-esteem and anger management issues. He realised it had all gotten too much when a work colleague confronted him about his anger issues and in his need, Richard called out to God and asked for His help. He has gone on to become a bus driver, extending love and friendship into his local community.

Wesley Mission story—Wesley Youth Services
We take a look at how a sailing program in Newcastle is helping young people by teaching them sailing and team building skills. This program empowers young people, giving them self-confidence and building their communication skills. They also get to enjoy the experience of being out on the water to the sailing boats.

Keith's reflection
The Rev Dr Keith Garner leads this week’s sermon on putting our trust in God, looking at the account of Jesus calming the storm in the Gospel of Luke.
