Best of 2012: SHE homes, Cambodia

20 January 2013 Wesley Impact! TV

This week on Wesley Impact! TV we hear Leigh Ramsey's extraordinary story and the Rev Dr Keith Garner looks at Psalm 24.

Leigh’s story
Pastor Leigh Ramsey has set up a rescue facility in Cambodia called SHE homes (shaping her earth, shaping her eternity) to assist girls who are victims of child exploitation and child trafficking. Leigh explains how God put this issue on her heart and led her, one step at a time, to make headways into intervening and helping girls find freedom. Leigh shares how difficult it can be, how overwhelming and confronting the issue of child trafficking can be for many people, but how important it is to take action and not turn our back on this serious issue.

Wesley Mission story—Wesley Brighter Futures
Wesley Brighter Futures is an early intervention program that works with families to help them develop their parenting and life skills. The program helps families where the safety or wellbeing of the children is at risk, and aims to reconnect them with family, friends and the local community to build up a network of support.

Keith's reflection
The Rev Dr Keith Garner leads this week’s sermon from Psalm 24, exploring how everything belongs to God and how there is no situation beyond Him and His gracious and almighty help.

Guest performers
This week we are joined by Judd Field, Amy Kuruvilla and the Melbourne Gospel Choir, a most sought after gospel group for TV appearances and backing vocals for international artists. We also hear from Levi Mc Grath. Levi is a gifted young Australian folk-pop singer/songwriter with a passion for Africa and shedding light on social justice issues.
