Best of 2013: Grief Awareness Month
This week on Wesley Impact! TV we hear Rachel Anderson's moving story and the Rev Dr Keith Garner explores John's Gospel.
On 22 August 2010, Rachel Anderson’s 35th birthday was celebrated through a multimedia clip produced by her husband Kristian. Kristian was undergoing treatment for bowel cancer. His birthday gift to Rachel also doubled as a thank you for her continued support since his diagnosis in October 2009. The produced birthday clip, which included well wishes from Hollywood star Hugh Jackman and New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, was so moving that it went viral, capturing hearts around the world. Two years on, we speak with Rachel about the remarkable life she shared with Kristian.
Wesley Mission story—Wesley Congregational Life
We look at Wesley Congregational Life (formerly Ministry & Mission) and the work they do to reach out and offer people hope. While we may not understand why things happen in life, we can be assured that God's love reaches us in all our circumstances. At Wesley Mission, our Wesley Congregational Life team are bringing that message of love into people's lives each and every day.
The Rev Dr Keith Garner leads this week’s sermon with a reading from the Gospel of John.
This week we are pleased to be joined by performers Liz Cole and Louise Hayes. Liz's remarkable gift for music is well beyond her young years, combining musical talent with poetic lyrics. Louise is another outstanding performer who is passionate about spreading God's word through song.
