Jason's Story: Swimming to Raise Funds

Through our Everyday Heroes program Jason Hooper, a disabled swimmer and a long-time volunteer at Wesley Mission, decided he would use his passion for swimming to help raise funds to support our work. In this inspiring insight into his will to serve, we are all encouraged to use our talents to make the world a better place for others.

Special Guest: Alistair Christie

Our guest today is Alistair Christie, a member of the Uniting Church Stamp Committee, who uses stamps as an innovative method of raising funds. We hear how they have raised almost a million dollars collecting stamps to support the work of the Uniting Church. In this insightful interview we are reminded of how something small can be used to make a big difference.

Guest Performer: Matt Doeland

This week we are privileged to hear the song All Because of You, performed by Matt Doeland.

Keith's Message: The Promise of the Holy Spirit

The Rev Dr Keith Garner shares some thoughts on the promise of the Holy Spirit as we read about it in John 14:23-29. Although Jesus was soon to depart from his disciples, He was leaving behind the gift of His presence to stay with all followers for all time. Jesus promised them and us a peace through the Holy Spirit that can be found nowhere else in the world. These gifts are a legacy of love and will maintain God’s people in every place and age.
