NAIDOC week

26 May 2013 Wesley Impact! TV

This week on Wesley Impact! TV we meet singer/songwriter Robyn Green and the Rev Dr Keith Garner explores Luke's Gospel.

Robyn’s story
Singer/songwriter Robyn Green shares her love for God by serving and working with disadvantaged Indigenous families and children. She talks about how she has done this from a young age, learning from her Christian family how to spread God’s Word. Although she grew up in a Christian home, Robyn' faith was not confirmed until life presented her with some difficult challenges. Rediscovering God led her to dedicate much of her time to working with disadvantaged Indigenous families.

Wesley Mission story—Wesley Youth Services
We take a look at how Wesley Youth Services reaches out to vulnerable young people in the community every year, offering hope and understanding. One extraordinary young woman, Elisha, shares how she came to live on the streets when she was only 11 years old. Scared and alone, Elisha explains how Wesley Youth Services helped her through this difficult time. With new found confidence in herself, Elisha is beginning to feel like she can succeed in life.

Keith's reflection
The Rev Dr Keith Garner leads this week’s sermon, taking a close look at the story of the Good Samaritan.
