World Health Day
This week on Wesley Impact! TV we meet author, Helen Rienits, and the Rev Dr Keith Garner explores John's Gospel.
From the age of 12 Helen Rienits felt she had a calling to help others by becoming a doctor. Helen shares how her time as a missionary working with people with leprosy in Bhutan in South Asia was a time of great spiritual development. Through her experiences Helen learnt that God was always with her and the importance of trusting in Him. Now back in Australia, Helen explains how the prevalence of poor mental health in the community has led her to write a book of hope for those suffering depression.
Wesley Mission story—Wesley Hospital
We look at how Wesley Hospital helped Peter reclaim his life and recover from an all-consuming alcohol dependence. Peter shares the story of his journey of recovery and just how difficult it can be to overcome an addiction. Now studying to become an Assistant in Nursing, Peter wants to share the message that there is hope and help out there for those who need it.
The Rev Dr Keith Garner leads this week’s sermon with a reading from John.
This week we are joined by Greg Attwells and Judd Field on the show. Greg is a seasoned performer of indie, folk and worship music and has a deep desire to lead others to the feet of Jesus Christ with his music. Judd is an outstanding singer/songwriter with a wealth of experience in the Australian music industry.
