Christmas at Wesley Mission

13 December 2015 Wesley Impact! TV

As we approach Christmas, I’d like to take the opportunity to look back over the past year and some of our achievements throughout 2015. We speak with Wesley Communications, Fundraising & Volunteering Executive Manager, Fran Avon, we’ll hear an original piece from Ryan Day and continue to discover the importance of John the Baptist.

Special guest: Fran Avon

The Rev Dr Keith Garner speaks with Wesley Communications, Fundraising & Volunteering Executive Manager, Fran Avon, about her work and what attracted her to a role at Wesley Mission. Together, they also look back on the Wesley Mission highlights in 2015.

Guest performer: Ryan Day – The King Has Come

Ryan Day is a singer, songwriter and worship leader at his local church in Sydney’s South. He joins us on Wesley Impact! TV to perform his original Christmas song, The King Has Come.

Keith’s message: The significance of John the Baptist

Picking up from last week’s message, we learn how John the Baptist was preparing the way. John preached what was very much a message of justice. His call to repentance meant that all who heard it felt there was the need to change.

When it’s easy to find ourselves caught up in the splendor of Christmas, let us not forget the strong message of John the Baptist.
