Wesley Impact! TV: Mother’s Day

12 May 2019 Wesley Impact! TV

In this week's episode of Wesley Impact! TV, you’ll be encouraged as the Rev Keith Garner opens God’s word to talk about Jesus’s ministry as the Good Shepherd—our protector and guide.

You’ll also hear three special stories from the work of Wesley Mission. As this Sunday is Mother’s Day, all the stories focus on the work being done with families and mothers in particular.

Plus, we hear a special performance from Craig Gower and the Wesley Impact Band of ‘Faithful to the End’ from Bethel Music.

Over the past 200 years that Wesley Mission has existed, the role of motherhood has changed quite a lot.

In the early 1900s, a mother was primarily a homemaker. The war engaged women in work, and this trend has continued. At the same time, there are more and more single mothers and stepmothers as the nature of families change.

In this week’s episode of Wesley Impact! TV, discover how Wesley Mission works with mothers, fathers and children from all backgrounds to provide support, love and care.

Guest performance: Craig Gower

Craig Gower is a professional musician who is passionate about using music to present the Gospel. He’s the Music Director for Wesley Impact! TV, and today he performs ‘Faithful to the End’ with the Wesley Impact Band.

Keith's message: The Good Shepherd

Rev Keith Garner opens God’s Word to explore Jesus’s ministry as the Good Shepherd. This is how Jesus chooses to describe himself in John 10, and it’s an image of a Lord who knows his flock, who care for them and lays his life down for them.

This encouraging message will help you remember that Jesus loves and cares for you as your Shepherd, and he will never stop leading you to greener pastures.
